The polyurethane coped well, faithfully reproducing the designer's styling, the intricate hole patterns and the shallow recess for the logo. The "velvet touch" external finish with silk screen printing and internal metallic coating for EMC/RFI screening are used to good visual and functional effect, adding to the artistic style and performance.
This stylish pair, cast in aluminium by Norse Precision Castings, illustrates the ability of the sand casting process to realise the designer's ambitions of shape and finish. The cigarette stubber, consiting of door, backcasting, stubber blank and two small parts, is about 330mm high.
Also produced - a matching litter bin some 1100mm high, with an automatic fire damper. Both were powder coated, and clear powder lacquered for vandal resistant yet attractive finish.
